Hello Everyone,
My name is Al, and I'm a songwriter living in Nashville.
I recently was asked to write "Green Specific" songs for a TV project called Green Heroes in Canada.
I ended up writing about 15 songs with my co-writers, (even though they only needed one) and now it seems that I have a whole lot of fantastic Green songs that need to find a home.
These are not your typical "I want to hug a tree" type of songs. (lol)
They are fantastic pop songs of all types with such titles as "Worth It's Weight In Green" "What If It Is?" and "The World Wide Web"
So Basically I wanted to introduce myself, and let the members here know that if any of them are associated with green activist organizations (including this one) that need songs to help promote Living Green... I have the songs that make it COOL TO DO SO.
When I wrote them my main goal was to come at people from a perspective that being green was the "in-thing to do" and I tried to write the material so that it would appeal to a young radio audience and to people who might otherwise not want to accept the message.
I'm going to post one of the songs on my soundclick website so that you can listen to it and see what I mean... it's called "Worth It's Weight In Green"
I haven't produced any of these green songs past the basic work-tape stage, but you will definitely still get the idea with this simple guitar vocal...
The point of this song was to say that we need a new energy source other than oil, but to avoid upsetting anyone who is on the other side of the fence.
I hope you enjoy it...
